Housed in a former private residence that dates back to 1740, this tavern is believed to be haunted by a ghost who was nicknamed Roland. He has been spotted in the dining rooms on the first floor and wears Revolutionary War-era clothing, peeking out the window toward the water. When he appears, he also brings the smell of cigar smoke and has been known to knock glasses and plates off shelves, one at a time. Other haunting reports here include shadowy figures, furniture that moves by itself and wall lanterns that turn upside down.
